Amy Morrison is an artist living in Hagerstown, Maryland, whose primary tool is a camera. She prints primarily on stretched canvas. She also selects print surfaces such as wood, slate, acrylic, glass, metal, fabric and paper when appropriate given the unique characteristics of each piece. She favors natural lighting and photographic, processing and printing methods that produce painting-like images, often with a discernable “grainy” look common in the days of film. Many of her creations have an impressionist feel and many are abstract. She enjoys exploration of the many ways digital software can be used to enhance an image to more fully express artistic vision. Her body of work largely comprises nature scenes from within Maryland, primarily from Montgomery, Howard and Carroll counties. Amy's work has been exhibited at Artomatic, Knit Locally, VOLT restaurant, and Kingsview Village Starbucks in Germantown, Maryland, and in other private and public events in the Washington/Maryland/Virginia area. You can view her work here at her website or on her Facebook page, www.facebook.com/amfaphotography, or request more information by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
